4-Person Breakaway, Long Beach Criterium, 1994

I believe this was one of the many Long Beach Criteriums that Maura raced.   What I remember on this particular day was she got in a breakaway with two sponsored racers from the LA Sheriff's Team and Saturn and a national champion.  Early March brought a lot of strong women to Southern California, in preparation for the Redlands Stage Race, the first big race in the national calendar.
