Eaton Canyon is a natural wilderness area near our Pasadena house. From the front door to the waterfall at the end of the hike is about 3 miles. On this nice Saturday morning in January 2008, we all made it to the waterfall at the very end of the canyon. We crossed the water about a dozen times before being rewarded with the cool mist of the waterfall.
In loving memory of Maura (1964-2008), my best friend. This blog is a gift to our sons, Sam and JJ and to everyone who knew her. The entries are in no particular order but are tagged by year and subject. Most everyone know she raced bikes for a long time but did not really see her at races. As anyone can see, she is big on cycling, Hawaii, anything pink and most importantly, life.

Maura And Uncle Don, 2004
Maura and her Uncle Don. In the background is the cornfield that is part of his farm in Fenwick, Michigan. She drove his tractor every time we visited the farm. This photo was taken in 2004 during a family reunion.
Glendora Mountain Road, 1992
Racing requires up to 200+ miles a week of training and easing up in the winter time to about 140 miles. This was one of the Maura's favorite training rides up Glendora Mountain Road to Mt. Baldy, a total of 21 miles of climbing. Photo taken around Christmas 1992.
